April Fools are all of us if we fail to do thing right this election year.
We will finally elect a woman president if the Democrats have anything to say about it. But just wait a minute and think about the possibility of the Republican Party choosing a woman as their presidential candidate as well.
All 50 states should seriously consider naming their favorite daughters instead of their favorite sons as possible candidates at the national convention. If they are wise enough to really think it through, I believe they will also choose to run a woman for the office of President of the United States.

Should this happen, as I hope it will, it would eliminate the possibility of anyone voting solely on the basis of gender.
When considering possible candidates, the Republicans need to apply the same qualifications as they do for males. Only those who have already been outstandingly successful in their field, and can devote her full time to the campaign, as well as having the strength and fortitude required to win, should be chosen one.
As with males she must also possess great charisma. This is defined in my dictionary as a rare personal quality assigned to leaders who arouse fervent popular devotion and enthusiasm, plus personal magnetism and charm.
The second definition is the ability to perform miracles. And a president who can perform miracles is exactly what we need in this year of our Lord 2015. If Republican women fail to “come to the aid of their party,” defeat will rest heavily upon female shoulders.
Nothing is more exciting than an all-out battle between equally qualified candidates to win the presidency. Voters can then concentrate on the actual issues at stake…
