Studios

The Artist Studio – Artist, Jackie Roliardi

Jackie’s abstract work is both figurative, and non-objective. She identifies with the artistic motivations of the Abstract Expressionist Movement of the 1940s, viewing art as an expression of what wants and needs to come forth. She works freely and spontaneously with a curiosity that allows the content to find itself in the work. As each piece progresses, so does her focus. She uses a variety of tools and layering techniques to integrate line, color, composition, value and shape into the finished piece.

She is excited to open her studio doors and share her newest works. The entrance to her studio is around the back of 16751 E. Parkview Ave, Studio #6 where there is plenty of parking and easy entrance into her studio. Visit her website, jackieroliardiart.artspan.com or call 480-213-0826.

Peter Jones Gallery – Artist Peter Jones

Peter has an advanced degree (MFA) in printmaking and drawing and taught for a number of years at Loyola University in Chicago and East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. He retired in 2009 from running the Peter Jones Gallery and Studio which provided exhibition, working and performance space to artists in Chicago. His wife, Gwen, and he have been seasonal residents in Fountain Hills since 2001. His printmaking interest has evolved into digital computer graphic work. He has done a lot of work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier and some 3D modeling apps: Opensimulator and Blender. He has also done a lot of work with large format vintage photography.

Joanne Chaplin-Shuman

A Chicago native, Chaplin-Shuman, won a four year art scholarship to the Chicago Art Institute at the age of 12. After years of studying and training, she has developed various styles, her latest is whimsical, nudes ala Picasso influence and portraits by commission. Chaplin-Shuman's favorite subjects are faces and fabrics and the medium she uses is oil on linen.
