The group will meet at Sudha Achar’s Art Gallery and Books, 17005 E. Colony Dr., on Monday, Feb. 5, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Members can still participate in the “Artist of the Month” event and are asked to bring artwork for voting. The 50/50 raffle and the Arizona Art Supply certificate drawing will be held as usual.

Art League to meet Feb. 15

Fountain Hills Art League will have a change of venue in February.
The group will meet at Sudha Achar’s Art Gallery and Books, 17005 E. Colony Dr., on Monday, Feb. 5, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Members can still participate in the “Artist of the Month” event and are asked to bring artwork for voting. The 50/50 raffle and the Arizona Art Supply certificate drawing will be held as usual.
Achar will present her artwork and discuss the processes she uses when she creates her jewelry. She also will demonstrate sculpting.
Achar has been making and exhibiting art for 30 years and is collected extensviely. She is a juried artist of the Sonoran Arts League.
Sudha’s Art Gallery and Books, which she owns with her husband, Patrick Freehill, offers a collection of her art in a variety of media along with an extensive collectin of books.
She is chair of the board of trustees of the FHCC/HMCA Endowment Trust for the Arts in East Hawaii Cultural Council/Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art. She was inducted in to the Women’s Hall of Home and selected as a Most Significant Person by the YWCA in Hawaii. She also has served on a variety of boards for the Hawaii State Foundation for Culture and Arts.
She lives with her husband part time in Hawaii and Arizona.
