The community is invited to the next Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery weekly demonstration on Tuesday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The featured artist for this event is acrylic artist Kelly Bowman who says she lives, thinks, plays and is inspired by color.

“I cherish the colors of things in nature and surround myself with color,” Bowman said in a press release.

Along with color, Bowman says she has always had a connection with animals, in particular dogs and horses.

“It only made sense combining them to create happy, energetic, touching and telling portraits of animals,” she said.

Bowman’s inspiration for paintings comes from her love of animals, the desert and her experience of the Southwestern lifestyle, according to the release.

The gallery is located at 16858 E. Avenue of the Fountains and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
