The community is invited to the next Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery’s weekly demonstration Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The featured artist for the event is mixed media artist Vicki O’Connor.

O’Connor is a self-taught artist who has always loved collage, color and creating something positive out of life’s many joys and challenges.

Creating art in many forms has helped her find meaning and value in the unknowns and limitations of illness and pain, according to a press release.

Through the artistic creative process, she has learned to find peace, joy and the path back to her own heart.

“Nature and her beauty inspire me every day,” O’Connor said. “Whether it’s the Sonoran Desert, the red rocks in Sedona, the amazing North Minnesota woods, the crystal clear moon, or our famous local fountain, I am called to immerse myself in their energies as fully as possible, with the hope to pass along a part the magic to you through my paintings.”

The gallery is located at 16858 E. Avenue of the Fountains and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
