Monetary donations also are welcome. Checks should be made out to Catholic Charities, with MANA House on the memo line.
The money will be used in several ways, one of which is buying bus passes to travel to work.
MANA House stands for Marine, Army, Navy and Air Force House. It is a 70-bed transitional housing program for homeless veterans. When veterans leave MANA, they usually move into an apartment.
Along with food and shelter, MANA provides transportation for job interviews and doctor appointments.
The goal of MANA House is to help veterans once again become self-sufficient and successful members of society.
