We are ashamed that there are people in Fountain Hills that have threatened peaceful protesters.
These protesters did everything right in notifying authorities and securing permission for a peaceful protest, only to be threatened by some residents. The same constitution that protects the right of this vocal group to have guns also protects the right to free speech.
We hope the protesters proceed with their plan for peaceful demonstration realizing that the majority of Fountain Hills residents are more open-minded.
