I am ashamed of my Fountain Hills neighbors who have participated in the recent character assassination of Mike Archambault.

Yes, Mike is passionate about many issues, and his passion may sometimes erupt in ingracious ways. But passion is a good characteristic for a Town Council member! All Council members should be as passionate about their jobs.

Mike’s passion has always been about issues, and never about people and their personalities. To attack Mike’s person and personality like several people have done is beyond civil politics. It is shameful.

The persistence and similarity of the letters attacking Mike indicate that this smear campaign has been organized by a single source. I would think that The Fountain Hills Times would investigate to uncover and identify the source of these attacks, and expose the coward who launched this campaign.
