The first female county zupervisor for Ataco, El Salvador, recently visited Sister City, Fountain Hills.
Marielena Hernandez visited the town, according to a blog post from Fountain Hills Sister Cities. FHSC Ataco Chairperson Byron Roman met with Hernandez during the recent “Meals for Elders” food distribution campaign in Ataco which has raised over $8,000 for flood and torrential rain relief.
Hernandez was welcomed to Fountain Hills with a meal of Pupusas, a culinary tradition from El Salvador. Hernandez thanked FHSC for all their help during the humanitarian relief campaign.
