The original Tea Party is a tribute to democracy where ordinary people rose against demands for American principles.
Samuel Adams, elected to Massachusetts legislature in 1764, wrote Declaration of Colonial Rights, was vocal opponent of laws passed by British Parliament of England to raise taxes on American colonies, in 1773 he pressured England to rescind taxes paid to British Crown.
Bostonians retaliated on 12/16/1773, dumping cargo of British tea into Boston Harbor referred to “Boston Tea Party.” British Parliament responded passing “Intolerable Acts” by closing Boston Harbor, put restrictions on town meetings, etc.

Adams urged boycott of British trade by American colonies. In 1774 the Massachusetts legislature sent Adams as representative to First then Second Continental Congress, he was signer of Declaration of Independence. He then served as governor of Massachusetts 1793-1797.
Today’s Tea Party is being ostracized by Democrats and Republicans even though it’s the right path for smaller government, fiscal responsibility and individual freedoms based on the Constitution.
Can’t keep federal spending $3.5 trillion, federal debt over $17 trillion, with 4 million federal employees, battalions of full-time contractors, 175,000 pages of regulations, topped now with Obamacare.
Americans losing their health plans, driven like cattle into marketplace buying insurance they don’t want or exchanges that don’t work. Enough of bloated government and endless spending, sending our children into shackles of debt.
Note: Remainder to my “Change to what” Feb. 26 letter. William Ayers and wife Bernardine Dohrn, both belonged to Weathermen Underground, bombed police stations in San Francisco and Detroit, escaping prosecution has government mishandled evidence.
Obama and Ayers served on Woods Foundation Board of Chicago from 1999-2002, distributing millions in grants to left-wing organizations, including ACORN, using taxpayers’ money to conduct their activities, also paying Obama’s organizing salary.
