The 2018 Balloon Glow was a huge success. Record crowds, record sales for restaurants and great memories of the event. Teamwork and organization is the formula for success.

So, I’m going to try and list everyone who helped this event become a hit. Starting with Rachael Goodwin, Corey Povar and Gracie Guetter of the Parks and Recreation Departments of Fountain Hills, who endorsed the idea with Kern Entertainment, LLC. Then, Brandon Wise of WiseAgent set up the internet marketing. Kathie Cook Martis, event coordinator, set up the fundraiser with Georgie’s Diner that was a huge success.

Contacting the balloonists was done through Shane Cory of Aerogelic Ballooning. Shane and his five other balloonists were super. Yes, we did have to pay to have the balloons come out to perform. Steve Crosz, DJ FX Entertainment, really kept the music hopping that night. Mayor Ginny Dickey gave opening remarks.

I hope and pray I don’t omit anyone but we had a lot of support to finance this event.

Of course none of this would happen without Lisa, Meredith, Brad, Joel and Larry. They make me look good. Looking forward to putting on this event again. We’ll definitely start earlier and have restrooms available. Super happy we could fill our restaurants with patrons.
