By now all registered voters in Fountain Hills should have received a yellow envelope with their ballot for the Nov. 4 General Election.
Fountain Hills residents should know that once again this is an all-mail ballot in the community. Ballots have been mailed to all those registered by the deadline regardless of party affiliation. There will be no precinct polling stations open on Election Day.
Town Hall is now serving as a ballot replacement station for the General Election. This is to help those with lost or spoiled ballots. Also there will be a blue ballot box available for those wanting to drop their ballot off rather than place it in the mail.

Town Hall regular business hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4, Town Hall will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Town Clerk Bev Bender wants voters to know the large yellow envelope that they should have received will contain their ballot and affidavit (return) envelope shortly after Oct. 9.
“This is not a sample ballot,” Bender said. “This ballot should be voted, placed in the signed, preaddressed and postage prepaid envelope, sealed and returned to Maricopa County Elections.”
The biggest reason for early ballots being rejected is that they are not signed. There is an affidavit on the outside of the return envelope to sign for registration verification.
The options to return the ballot are to place it in the U.S. Mail no later than Friday, Oct. 31, or drop it in the sealed ballot box in the second floor lobby at Town Hall through Election Day.
There are no Town Council races on the General Election ballot. However, Fountain Hills residents will be voting for School Board members and a School District override question.
Besides the governor and other state wide offices including attorney general and secretary of state, local voters will be considering candidates for the Arizona Legislature in District 23, District 6 of the U.S. House of Representatives.
There are also ballot propositions and a healthcare bond to consider.
