Hundreds gathered in Fountain Park Saturday, March 11, for the annual Kite Flying Festival, a re-creation of Basant Mela, a festival that observes the arrival of spring in Pakistan. Music, food vendors and clothing booths were a part of the family-oriented celebration. The only thing missing was a brisk wind.
