Last week saw the Falcon baseball team take part in the Florence tournament, playing one game a day from March 5-8. The Falcons got rolling with a 5-2 win over San Manuel last Wednesday before beating Coolidge 8-1 the following day. A 2-0 win over Bisbee Friday, in which Nick Wojtysiac pitched a no-hitter, striking out 11, set the Falcons up to take on Estrella Foothills in the semi-finals Saturday morning. The Falcons were outplayed for the first time this season, however, recording their first loss at 10-1.

The Lady Falcon softball team also had a busy weekend with a 4-0 performance in the PCDS tournament, beating teams from Joy Christian (10-6), Desert Christian (10-9), Mogollon(21-8) and Salt River(13-10).

Local sports continue this week with Tuesday matches for the girls tennis squad and baseball. The Lady Falcons will host San Tan Foothills out of Golden Eagle Park at 3:30 p.m. with the baseball squad welcoming Wickenburg to the local field at 4 p.m. No home games are scheduled for Wednesday
