Harmony Elizabeth Rains and Matthew James Bates are engaged and plan to wed Dec. 8, 2013 in Tucson.
Harmony, of Tucson, is the daughter of Howard and Melodie Rains of Tucson.
She attended Pima Community College and received a caregivers certificate at The Caregiver Training Institute. She currently works as a private nanny.
Matthew lives in Anthem and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Biola University.
The son of James and Lori Bates of Fountain Hills, he works as a systems integrator at Lockheed Martin.
Matthew also is the grandson of Buddy and Arline Kaufman of Fountain Hills.
The couple will reside in Phoenix.
