In all the 18 years that I have lived in Fountain Hills, I have never seen the town looking more beautiful, more pristine.

The parks are in top shape with new surfaces for the basketball and tennis courts at Golden Eagle Park. Fountain Park looks great, with the grass better than ever. The lake is a pleasure to walk around with the improvements to the aerators. The new wind gauge and electrical controls make it now possible for the Fountain to stay up during small gusts of wind and lets it go down to two pumps or one when the wind is heavier. I never get tired of seeing our Fountain.

One of our newest amenities seems to be one of the most popular. I’m talking about the Avenue median that used to be just an uneven grassy surface. Now it’s a beautiful linear park with benches and shade. What a great place to stroll or stop and have an outdoor lunch in this beautiful weather.

Adero Canyon construction has now made our dream of a Preserve trailhead come true. We’ve waited a long time to have access to our Preserve. We have been paying for it for many years and now it’s going to happen this year.

I’m voting for Cecil Yates for mayor because I want this careful stewardship of our town to continue. During his time on the council we have successfully, with limited revenue, achieved great accomplishments. He has helped shape our town into the beautiful place that makes us the envy of the Valley and all of us proud to say our home is Fountain Hills.
