Department of Public Safety officials have identified a Mesa man and woman who died in a single vehicle crash on the Beeline Highway near Gilbert Road on Thursday, July 13.
The driver, 19-year-old Rafael Rosa, and a female passenger, also 19, Esmeralda Rojas died in the accident. Troopers say Rojas was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Four others in the vehicle were injured in the accident and were taken to area hospitals for treatment. An Apache Junction woman, 20, and Mesa boy, age 17, remained hospitalized after the accident. A Mesa girl, 17, and Mesa boy, 7, were treated and released from hospitals.

DPS has released no additional information regarding the cause of the accident.
