Local Entertainment groups and restaurants donated their time and talents this weekend to support our veterans; one of the most successful years yet!

I personally want to thank the Hooter’s Girls and Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers servers who donated all their time/talents to help at the VFW Beer Garden during the weekend of Feb. 26-28 in Fountain Hills.

Additionally, many thanks to the Behind the Badge Band of firefighters, policemen and Military members, as well as the Bud Band, led by Bud Llewellyn, for providing great musical entertainment all weekend.

All of this was made possible for the fourth straight Beer Garden by entertainment promoter Dan Margolis, owner of Fountain Hills Barber Shop. Dan had first reached out in 2014 to former VFW Post 7507 Commander Phil Yin with his ideas and passion to help veterans. They both then forged a relationship with these restaurants and numerous bands to bring value to this local semi-annual event.

Thank you as well to all the patrons who showed their support and to the many VFW members and volunteers who made this a success.
