I hope all Fountain Hills residents get down to the Great Fair this weekend and have a wonderful time buying from both vendors and local merchants downtown.
There are many food vendors including many of our local charitable and fraternal organizations such as Rotary, Kiwanis and the VFW. This Great Fair is one of the major fundraising activities for these clubs. Please support them.
I specifically ask that everyone consider the VFW beer garden as a place to relax and enjoy a meal with or without a drink and as a place to listen to great music. The VFW beer gardens are the only places that serve beer or wine and the only places that have live music. The main VFW beer garden on Saguaro Blvd., just south of Avenue of the Fountains, not only serves soft drinks, beer, water, wine and cocktails, but also features freshly cooked brats, hot dogs and chili. Additionally, Red Shirt Friday shirts will be on sale.

Come look at the new designs for these great T-shirts and sweatshirts. All Red Shirt Friday sales have gone to support homeless veterans. Additionally, the post is selling raffle tickets for two great rifles. The main VFW Garden has shaded tables and music as well as almost hourly 50/50 raffles.
The VFW’s mini-garden also has music and serves beer and wine. It is located right in the middle of shopping near the intersection of Verde River Drive and Avenue of the Fountains.
I hope to see you at the VFW beer gardens this weekend.
