Benjamin Davidson Jr., 87, passed away on June 12, 2015, with his dedicated wife of 64 years, Lois by his side. Ben passed due to complications from a 10-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was born May 21, 1928, the only child of Benjamin Sr. and Jenny Davidson in Paterson, N.J.

At the age of 17, he joined the US Navy. He served for one year until WWII ended; followed by three years in the National Reserves. He married the love of his life, Lois on Nov. 4, 1950.

They had four children who they raised in suburban Oakland, N.J. Ben worked as a funeral director in New Jersey until he retired in 1992. Ben and Lois moved in retirement to Cape Cod, Mass. where they lived for seven years before permanently locating to Fountain Hills.

Ben is survived by his wife, Lois; three sons, Scott Davidson of Fountain Hills, Marc Davidson of Vernon, N.J., Doug Davidson of Land ‘o Lakes, Fla.; one daughter, Nancy Wodynski of Fountain Hills; and son-in-law, Greg Wodynski; local grandchildren, Jordan Wodynski and Connor Wodynski (Nancy and Greg’s children); two adult grandchildren; Jesse Davidson, Vernon, N.J., Jacob Davidson, Hoboken, N.J. and Nicole Davidson his wife; and his two great grandchildren; Emma Davidson and Sophia Davidson, Hoboken, N.J. (Jacob and Nicole's daughters).

A celebration of life and remembrance service will be held Thursday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at The Fountains, United Methodist Church in Fountain Hills. A reception will directly follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Crossings Hospice.
