Last year, I was among the uninsured, with existing conditions and unable to pay the high costs for little coverage. Since Obama succeeded in mandating all to have insurance, according to his liking, I now realize how affordable healthcare is…when you pay cash!
Last May, when needing a surgical procedure, tests were done on a Wednesday, procedure done two days later, and the bill was discounted by 85 percent paying cash. Now, surgical request submitted Jan. 24 – and still waiting for insurance authorization. My standing lab order was $179.34 cash, now a whopping $2,584.79 is billed to the insurer!
The biggest shocker – All medications last year cost $139/month, now our cost is $1,466.85/month for the same meds, when run through insurance. Obama has all but obliterated the “free market solution” of the $4 generic drug list.

Our insurance premium alone rivals a mortgage payment, annual deductible exceeds two months’ pay. We must pay for college girls birth control, but it doesn’t cover flu shots…where is our preventative coverage?
Since my husband’s employer offers health insurance…we are required, by Obama, to buy that insurance regardless of cost. (No subsidies allowed!) Even his premiums jumped 30 percent from last year, although it had most of “Obama’s required coverages.”
Now we are forced to buy coverage we don’t need, can’t afford, and doesn’t cover what we need? Then we are forced to pay for the Obamacare subsidies given to others, and also forced to pay for the Medicaid enrollees too. Where is “equal treatment under the law” when so many are given waivers?
Only in Obama’s America would we be better off to quit working, quit paying taxes and apply for Obamacare to get “subsidies” and live off OPM (other peoples’ money). Our Sham-wow President is merely a sham!
