While medical marijuana is usually a contentious topic in Arizona, possible alteration to the local businesses hours of operation and the ability to make deliveries will likely take a back seat to the consideration of two possible development projects.
Residents have been debating the Daybreak project planned for Palisades Boulevard publicly and through letters to the editor in recent weeks, with the town receiving around 100 comments concerning the project.

Receiving less attention up to this point is the Keystone development project proposed along Westby Drive, surrounding the Bashas’ shopping center.
The Daybreak project is slated to include about 400 units with Keystone expected to include 147 detached apartment units.
Residents with a vested interest in any of the above are encouraged to attend the P&Z meeting starting at 6 p.m. this Thursday, July 25, in Town Hall, as well as the Town Council meeting that is scheduled to address these same items on Aug. 13. In the meantime, a refresher on each item is included in this week’s coverage on page 1A.
