I attended a Senator McCain town hall this past week, and someone asked him about the F-35 program. He said it’s a great fighter jet, but the costs have been outrageous.
So I couldn’t help but notice that South Korea ordered 40 of the F-35s, and by doing so, they’ve lowered the cost of the overall program by $2 billion.
I hope Senator McCain took notice as well. I would hate to see this program face defense cuts, especially when other countries seem to know that the F-35 is the future of military fighter jets.

Senator McCain is doing the right thing by keeping an eye on military spending and protecting taxpayers. I just hope he doesn’t lose vision of the big picture, and that he realizes that providing our military with the safest and most advanced equipment is top priority.
