Blanche Brisbane

Blanche Brisbane passed away Dec. 20, 2013 at her home in Fountain Hills at age 100.

She was born Jan. 15, 1913 at Forest Park, N.Y. and grew up on Long Island. She was married to Peter Paul Brisbane for 72 years and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Brisbane Hutcheson of Fountain Hills, and son-in-law, Larry Hutcheson; two grandchildren, Lawrence (Wendy) Hutcheson and Leslie (Tom) Lepisto; and four great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Kyle Hutcheson and Phillip and Samantha Lepisto; and several nieces and nephews.

Blanche was a professional dancer who operated a large dance school on Long Island for about 15 years. In 1969 she moved to Pine City, N.Y. and there she worked as a Christian education director.

She and her husband retired to Fountain Hills in 1991 where they could be closer to their daughter, and became very active in the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of life will be held at the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church at a future date.
