Our Fountain Hills Botanical Garden is putting on a good show right now. As you go along the trail, sometimes you have to look closely for the bloom. The triangle-leafed bursage has a greenish-yellow inconspicuous flower. The wolfberry has small, delicate white tubular flowers. Desert lavender has pale lavender, true to its name. If you gently rub your fingers on the pale gray leaf you can get that great lavender scent.
Other easily spotted flowers are the bright red chuparosa that seem to be growing all over. Look for them in the in the rocky crevices, as well as right along the trail. The pink fairy duster has the puffy pink clusters that make the bush look soft. Brittlebush has bright yellow blooms that look like little daisies.
As our weather continues to warm other flowers will appear, so keep your eyes open on continued visits to the Garden.
