Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to call about wildlife on the elementary school campus. At 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, deputies confirmed there was a mother bobcat with a cub on the school roof. At the same time, there was concern over a rattlesnake seen on campus.
According to Matthew Fox of MCSO, the school was placed into a shelter in place by the superintendent.
At 8:49 a.m. it was reported the bobcats found their way off the roof and back into the desert area north of campus without incident. There was no furher mention of the snake, he added.
