The bottom line is that Fountain Hills does not have enough income to cover the costs of operating our town. What is the solution? What is the fairest remedy for every citizen?

We all owe our present and previous councilmembers a tremendous thank you for cutting expenses over the last several years to the bare bone. Now, no more can be cut without very negative consequences.

After proposing and studying numerous alternatives, the best answer is to approve the proposed primary property tax that will be on your ballot and in your mail box in about a week. The town council unanimously endorsed it twice, the Chamber of Commerce board approved its passage, 94 percent of those 100-plus residents who attended the VisionFH workshop supported it.

Make the right choice and join most of the communities in Maricopa County that already have enacted property taxes.

Please vote for the property tax. Provide the funds necessary for the town to address our present and long-term needs and to maintain our property values and the quality of life we all enjoy.
