Basketball season is starting in Fountain Hills, and the Fountain Hills High School boys basketball team is ready to exceed expectations. The Falcons will have 10 starting seniors returning, including Lucas Grieco. Grieco was one of the key figures last season commanding the offense on the court. 6’2” Matthew Heaney and 6’4” Avery Evans return with their stellar defense in the paint and rim protection.
“We got a lot of experience and height returning to the team this year,” said head coach Jeffrey Bonner. “Most of the guys on the team already know how our offense is coordinated and what assignments to pursue on defense.”
If the Falcons played like they did last season, this offense will be high powered and dominant in the mid-range and paint, Bonner said.
