Bright bulbs

An open letter: Mayor Kavanagh and ladies and gentlemen of Fountain Hills Town Council with regard to town financial concerns, here in a nutshell is what is wrong with your thinking, yes thinking.

As a municipal corporation your resource to dollars is tax money. Meaning you did virtually nothing to “earn money the old fashioned way…”

Presently yours is a role of confiscation (tax) and spend. You are merely spender of money you, for all intents and purposes, did not earn. Any “dim bulb” can spend money. It takes a “bright bulb” to earn it and spend it wisely. So rather than depending, solely or to a large extent on taxes, how’s about acting more like entrepreneurs and “earn it?”

And if you develop some positive circumspection, what may appear to be risk taking as entrepreneurs may need not be necessarily inordinate.

Where are the bright individuals to “earn it?” Mayor Herb Drinkwater of Scottsdale comes to mind.
