A pile of trash sits in front of a Surprise home, waiting for collection.

Republic Services’ annual bulk trash collection service for Fountain Hills customers is underway.
This year, three additional collection days are added to each route.
The 2024 bulk trash collection will continue through May 1. The typical items considered bulk are typically too large to be disposed of in regular curbside trash container. To help residents get rid of these large items, Republic Services offers easy bulk trash pickup for recycling or disposal, so it does not have to be hauled to a landfill. Bulk items typically include couches, lamps, rugs, mattresses, large appliances without freon, and landscaping debris, except cactus.
