Bullies and cowards

Last evening I watched the 10 o’clock news and was appalled to hear the story of six young boys (a seventh stood by and watched) who had beaten and tortured a tiny defenseless kitten and then threw it into a pool to drown.

Of course their next victims will be their classmates (who could be your children or grandchildren) who they perceive as weak and defenseless.

Let’s be clear, I’m not a cat or kitten owner nor do I have any intentions of owning either. However, the cruelty displayed by these young boys is beyond my comprehension.

As these boys get bigger and bolder, it is chilling to think who will be their next victim. I sincerely hope the judge in this case gives them the sentence they so justly deserve. It is a good thing for them I’m not the judge.
