Bullying

It seems that the actions of the minority in the issue of Pam Aister’s dismissal will have a long lasting impact on the entire community of Fountain Hills.

As people may know, the minority of this issue has communicated its position on Facebook under the page Fountain Hills Connection. It is ironic how they hide under the cover of wanting to use the page to uplift the community by accepting bullying and racism.

Recently, people who have expressed themselves in the “Connection” through posts about Pam Aister’s wrongful termination get banned from the discussion. Also supporters of Pam Aister’s cause have been threatened with boycotts of their businesses, called names, and being threatened.

The Facebook page administrator would rather censor and delete posts of people who have real-life experiences and is willing to share them with the group, than deal with the facts and realizations of the actions taking by the School Board. In my opinion, the actions taken by the administrator of the Facebook page and some of its members are akin to the bullying allegations.

People can bury their heads in the sand and think that the bullying accusation was some trumped up charge will mysteriously disappear if no one talks about it. The actions being perpetrated against Pam Aister’s supporters by the “clique” of people indeed affirm that bullying is alive and well in Fountain Hills.
