Busy time for Presbyterian
Posted
There’s a lot going on at the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church this summer.
Activities range from a Vacation Bible School and an adult Bible study to a gathering to help with the grief process.
VBS
The Presbyterian Church and Church of the Ascension are joining together for the Weird Animal VBS program starting Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Weird Animals is filled with unforgettable Bible-learning experiences kids will see, hear, touch, and even taste. All-new KidVid Cinema shares real stories of real kids who rely on Jesus’ love to face life’s challenges.
Plus there are team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats keep everyone on the move. Go on line to get pre-registered at www.fhpresbyterian.info, or call the Church office at 837-1729, located at 13001 Fountain Hills Blvd.
Hosea
If you are interested in developing relationships with others seeking to expand their knowledge and insights into the Bible along with encouragement for the week, Pastor Bill Good is teaching an interesting lesson on Hosea.
The study, focusing on what is considered a “minor prophet in the Bible, is taught on Wednesdays in the Adult Center at FHPC at noon.
Come join the group for a “brown bag” experience and bring your lunch, your Bible and prepare to be spiritually feed.
Grieving group
There was another graduation of the Griever’s Journey grief ministry June 21 that helped, encouraged and supported those in their grief and healing process.
This 13-week program provides help to anyone that has experienced the loss of a loved one.
Griever’s Journey is a non-denominational grief program that features a blend of biblical teachings on grief and recovery topics, with practical guidance to create a process that sensitively meets the needs of hurting people.
If you, a friend, or relative have experienced the loss of a loved one and are interested in this healing ministry, call Michele Hasley at 480-313-6814 for any additional information.
Residents are invited to join the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church in the many activities, groups, ministries and outreach programs they offer.
