Fountain Hills Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski announced this month he will retire from that position in June. In a recent interview, he said he expected to get involved with a local nonprofit following his decades of service in education. Well, it looks like Dr. J is aiming for the stars, as he has now been named the CEO for the International Dark Sky Discovery Center.
“His outstanding leadership skills, passion for science and years of dedication to Fountain Hills are the perfect fit for bringing the Discovery Center to life and ensuring its long-term success,” according to a press release announcing Jagodzinski’s new position. “The timing of our announcement of this position was fortuitous, as Dr. J was planning to seek new opportunities at the close of this school year.”
The release notes Dr. Jagodzinski will quickly transition into his new role as CEO of the Discovery Center, which is nearing completion and expected to open this year.
