First, thanks to all the attendees at the mayoral candidate debate on June 26, it was a great standing-room-only turnout.

Secondly, my apology to anyone that did not recognize the efforts of the FHCCA, Chamber and SRP in sponsoring the debate. We were there to support the program and had spent many hours publicly requesting questions, reviewing the questions and trying to make this an impartial debate to inform the citizens of Fountain Hills.

The good news is we will be co-sponsoring a forum for the town council candidates with the Chamber of Commerce on July 19 at the Chamber’s stated meeting, and all of the candidates have been requested to be there to answer your questions; and it is a free breakfast to all attendees.

I am sure most of the questions to these candidates will be related to the same issues that were asked the mayoral candidates.

The Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association is proud to have sponsored these forums for several years in the past and we are looking forward to a large turnout of citizens to hear the candidates this year.

If you have a question to submit, please contact me or go to our website listed below to get the program information and also to see how you can become an active member of FHCCA. Our website is ilovefountainhills.org, or you may contact me direct at carellc@cox.net with your questions and comments.

Thank you for being active in the selection of our town council and our governing process.
