The candidates for Fountain Hills Town Council have turned in their financial reports for the second quarter of 2024 covering the time from April 1 through June 30, leading up to the primary election.
There is still a pre-election financial report due the week before the election.
As might be expected the greatest amount of money being raised and spent is in the race for the mayor’s office. Joe Arpaio spent about $35,000 during the quarter and still has $37,000 in his coffers. He has spent about $75,000 total on the campaign. Incumbent Mayor Ginny Dickey spent about $20,000 for the quarter and still has around $15,000 on hand. Councilman Gerry Friedel has spent $15,500 in his effort to unseat Dickey with about $18,000 remaining.
