The Extended Hands Food Bank is having a greeting card sorting party, and the community is invited to drop by and lend a hand.
The assorted greeting cards were donated to Extended Hands in bulk from Haggen’s Grocery and American Greeting Company. Participants will match envelopes to cards, then put the cards in general categories.
Once that is done, participants will pack the cards up to be given away. Organizers want to hand our card packs to people at Extended Hands and at Fountain View Village.

Anyone who enjoys helping others is invited to pitch in on Thursday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants can come for any period of time.
This event will be hosted out of the Fellowship Hall at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.
There are nearly 5,000 cards to get through, so organizers are hoping for lots of community support.
