Carol Sanders Jenkins passed away on Nov. 17, 2017 at the Eckstein Center in Scottsdale. She was 69.
Carol was born in Carthage, Mo., on Feb. 25, 1948, the daughter of the late James Charles and Betty Jean (Welker) Sanders.
After graduating from Carthage Senior High School, she attended Vanderbilt University before graduating from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
She moved to Arizona in 1984, and spent over 30 years working and volunteering with local non-profits, including Christian Family Care Agency, Parents Anonymous, Phoenix Navigators, and UMOM New Day Centers.
Her character, faith, dedication, and love will be remembered by her family and many friends alike.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her children, Amelia (Ben) Gerlicher, Seattle, and Charles (Lindsay) Morrow, Phoenix; two grandchildren, Sydney and Alex; her brother, Jay (Nancy) Sanders; and her nieces, Laura (Andy) Bonet and Natalie (Mike) Cossey, and their families.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 27, time pending, at Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.
