Many people in our community are aware that we lost our precious 11-month-old black lab puppy, Cash, the evening of July 3rd.

Cash ran away on the Fort McDowell Yavapai Reservation during a family outing watching the fireworks display. My family, many friends and volunteers searched for Cash for days to no avail.

Unfortunately the long search resulted in a very sad ending. It was amazing the number of people in this community of Fountain Hills and Fort McDowell who came forth and volunteered many hours in this rescue effort.

Not only did dozens of our friends step forward, but many involved were residents that I had never met before. True dog lovers came forward to assist with this effort of sheer desperation.

We are blessed to live in a community where people come together in a time of need. The love and support I received from so many people took my breath away and brought me to tears. I will be eternally grateful.

I would like to reach out to those of you who helped out and donated your time and energy in this sweltering Arizona heat to look for Cash. God bless you all and thank you. You are true angels.
