Catherine’s life journey began as a secretary with American embassies in Montevideo, Uruguay, Bolivia and Malta. During the 1950s she transferred to New York as an administrative assistant to the superintendent of the New York Board of Education.

Primary to Catherine’s sojourn had been her unprecedented devotion to God as a Roman Catholic. She not only spent time but generously supported several worthwhile causes. Her faith was evident in her outgoing, loyal and humorous persona.

Children were especially delighted in the many hugs and big red kisses “Auntie Catherine” immersed on them.

Her love will be remembered. Her faith will be continued through her family and trusted friends who were all blessed with her in their life.

Mass was held in Catherine’s commemoration on Jan. 19, 2017 by Father David Myers, S.G. from Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
