Cecyl Herguth passed away peacefully at age 77, on March 23, 2017. Cecyl was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
She was a strong woman of faith and her strength, kindness and caring always brought out the best in everyone around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Peter of 57 years; daughters, Lori Wilson (husband, Dave) and Lisa Nyquist (husband, Dave); her two sons, Wade Herguth (wife, Michelle) and Bill Herguth (wife, Stacy); eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Deborah Young and Marilyn Acierno.
Cecyl was the middle child of Adah Maye and Wade Hildinger. She was born in Lawton, Okla. and lived in Texas, Alabama and New York, with her parents and siblings.
In 1957 she met her future husband at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla. and they were married a year later on Sept. 6 in Williamsville, N.Y.
While married to Peter she lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and retired in Fountain Hills. Cecyl will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 7 at 11 a.m. at the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church (13001 N. Fountain Hills Blvd., Fountain Hills) immediately followed by a brunch.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
