Congratulations to Fountain Hills resident Steve Alker, who won the Schwab Cup Championship last Sunday at the Phoenix Country Club.

Steve epitomizes tenacity, resilience, determination and grit. Over the past year he has gone from a golfer not even qualified for the PGA Senior Tour to the now reigning champion. Steve is a New Zealander who has made Fountain Hills his place of residence for some time. Steve, his family, his friends and his community are all quite proud of this accomplishment.

Just an FYI: Steve, I have an opening on our foursome for an early morning tee time this coming Saturday morning at Desert Canyon. Let me know if you can play.
