As you can probably tell simply by flipping through any issue of The Fountain Hills Times, this community is home to a large number of groups, clubs and organizations that like to stay active around town.

In other words, there are a lot of ways for residents to get out and get involved, and the annual Activities and Volunteer Expo is a showcase of dozens of ways to do exactly that.

We encourage everyone to drop by the Community Center today, Jan. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. to check out what all is going on in and around town. Even if you are already a member of one club or volunteer with an organization or two, there’s no telling what you might discover while making your way from booth to booth, conversing with neighbors and organizers who are eager to share their passions with likeminded individuals.

If you’ve ever wanted to know what offerings are available in the Fountain Hills Activity Center, this is your opportunity to get all of the details. Also on hand will be around 40 local groups, with representatives handy to answer questions about their goals, activities, schedules and the like.

Whether you want to support local education, veterans, animals, parks, charities or simply enjoy some exercise, art, games and the like, there’s bound to be something of interest for just about every walk of life.
