For the fourth year in a row the Dodgers have folded like a cheap accordion.
The Chlorine Curse, for the fourth year in a row, has exerted its kinetic powers over the Dodgers and they have failed again. As die-hard D-Back fans recall, the Dodgers, in 2013, after clinching the Division Championship at Chase Field, chose to make a blunder that will haunt them for eons.
They jumped into the Chase Field pool to celebrate their victory. That dip in the D-Backs’ pool invoked the Chlorine Curse which, by the law of all baseball curses, shall haunt them for a minimum of 100 years. Last Saturday the Dodgers lost game five to the Chicago Cubs, another team that has endured a 100-plus-year curse.

It’s possible the “god of curses” may relinquish its Billy Goat hold on the Cubs this year, we shall all wait and see. As for the Dodgers, only 96 years are left on the Chlorine Curse.
Maybe, just maybe, next year the D-Backs can be the team to drive the stake of the Chlorine Curse through the heart of the Dodgers.
