Democracy means having a choice about who represents the voters.

Apparently Senator John Kavanagh and Mayor Linda Kavanagh think the voters in Fountain Hills are not capable of making their own decision. They have now made more than four attempts to influence the voters in our town with prejudicial articles in this paper regarding the Town Council. Shame on you!

Linda Kavanagh touts that she has faced no opposition in any of her runs for office of mayor. Mayor, the buck stops at your desk. I ask you now to answer my questions in this paper.

Linda Kavanagh touts that she has faced no opposition in any of her runs for office of mayor. Mayor, the buck stops at your desk. I ask you now to answer my questions in this paper.

1) Who is responsible for correcting the mistake for the wrong lights in our park? What was the cost comparison of the two different light types, and when will this huge, costly mistake be rectified?

2) How much of the city budget, during your terms as mayor, has been paid to settle lawsuits against the city?

3) Why are you taking credit for the improvements to our roads without raising taxes? The voters authorized the issuance and sale of $8.2 million in general-obligation bonds to make the repairs to Saguaro Boulevard.

Finally, I personally am not amused by John Kavanagh’s comments regarding Ginny Dickey. Stop the bullying! Freedom of speech allows her to express her opinions without rude feedback from an elected State Senator bully. Now that’s not amusing.
