The Fountain Hills Cultural & Civic Association has announced its Annual Choir Fest will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
This is a new location for the annual event because more seating is available for the audience than when it was formerly held in host churches.
The event is free and open to the public. A free-will donation will be appreciated to help defray concert expenses.

The Fountain Hills Cultural & Civic Association has announced its Annual Choir Fest will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the Fountain Hills Community Center.

The FHCCA choral festival was started 11 years ago by Aggie Kramer of Rio Verde and the late Barbara Wyman of Fountain Hills. The chair for this year’s event is Debbie Fisher, FHCCA board member and director of the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church choir.
Choirs participating this year are from churches in Fountain Hills, Rio Verde and Ft. McDowell. The Fountain Hills Community Chorus also will participate.
Each choir will sing two of their prepared pieces, and all singers will join together for a grand finale by singing Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus,” under the direction of Community Chorus leader Matthew Frable and accompanied by pianist Lois McElligott.
Each choir is asked to bring five dozen cookies to share with the singers and the audience following the performance.
