Church for the Nations (CFTN) Fountain Hills opened its doors at 13014 N. Saguaro Blvd. on Nov. 6 for a welcoming ceremony.

Pastors Michael and Mary Maiden, CFTN founders, local Pastors Ike and Joanie Harris, Mayor Linda Kavanagh, and Chamber of Commerce members attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Fountain Hills is one of nine CFTN campuses in Arizona. Other locations are located in Surprise, Maricopa, Flagstaff, Prescott, Avondale, Chandler and Payson. The main campus is in Phoenix.

“Our church family feels greatly honored to be a part of the beautiful community of Fountain Hills,” said Maiden. “We are a church with a great desire to be a blessing and resource to the community.”

CFTN was founded by 150 members in 2003. It has grown to 10,000 under the leadership of Maiden. More than 45 nations and people groups comprise the church.

Ethnic fellowships include Arab, Bhutanese, Burmese, Eritrean, Ethiopian, Hispanic, Native American, Sudanese, Swahili and Nepali.

CFTN in Fountain Hills started in July 2014. Members initially met in the Community Center. They have worshipped at the new location since February.

A section of the church has been set aside for children from infancy to 12 years old.

Pastors Ike and Joanie Harris have been pastoral ministers for 35 years. Harris has a master’s degree in theology and has taught in Bible schools.

Both are certified faith-based counselors. They are directors of Healing Rooms of Phoenix. Harris also oversees all CFTN campuses under the direction of Pastor Maiden.

Mike Milam is the local church administrator.

The vision of the church is to reach Fountain Hills and surrounding areas with the good news of Jesus Christ, according to a church announcement.

All believers have destinies and callings for at least one of the seven mountains, which include family, religion, business, government, education, arts and media, said Maiden.

“Every person is valuable and has a destiny and purpose,” said Harris. “It’s not how you start out in life, but how you finish.”

CFTN’s main purpose is to help all believers fulfill their God-given destiny, said Harris.

“Our message is hope, grace and love of God through Jesus Christ,” he said.

CFTN believes that all scripture was given by inspiration of God and is infallible. “The Bible is relevant to every generation, including this one,” said Harris.

Services are conducted at 11 a.m. Sundays. Wednesday night services will begin in January.
