Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hills is teaching local youth about the Bible with a rainforest spin on Vacation Bible School.
The education is part of Ascension Church’s annual summer program, which ran from July 20-23. The theme is the rainforest, as kids explore the nature of God through fun activities, games and Bible study.
“When we saw the rainforest, we thought what a great idea it was to talk about all the wonderful things that God has made,” Ascension Church catechist Bernadette Hanlon said. “The rainforest is one of these things, with the animals and activities, we’ve tried to stick with that theme.”
