Civility never left Fountain Hills until now

OPINION — A certain peace fell over Fountain Hills when we elected Gerry Friedel for mayor. Many of us felt protected from outside influences and the negativity we had from the previous mayor and some council members.

Not until this campaign did we have any issues with civility, with the exception of the holiday debacle instigated by the Democratic Club. We now have one side claiming the need to restore civility. That, in fact, is the platform they are running on.
