Closures, restrictions on Loop 202 Red Mountain this weekend
A freeway improvement project requires lane restrictions and closures on Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in the East Valley this weekend (Feb. 13-16). Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following freeway restrictions are in place:
Westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to two lanes between McKellips Road and Loop 101 from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 14) for widening project.

A freeway improvement project requires lane restrictions and closures on Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in the East Valley this weekend (Feb. 13-16). Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following freeway restrictions are in place:
Westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to two lanes between McKellips Road and Loop 101 from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 14) for widening project.
Dobson Road and Country Club Drive closed at Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in Mesa from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 16) for bridge work. Westbound Loop 202 on- and off-ramps at Dobson Road closed. Other ramps at Dobson and Country Club Drive open with only right turns allowed. DETOUR: Consider alternate routes, including Alma School Road, Rio Salado Parkway or McKellips Road.
Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to one lane in either direction in areas between Broadway and Brown roads in east Mesa from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 14) and Sunday (Feb. 15) for widening project. DETOUR: Please consider alternate routes or allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely in work zone.
